If a cardiac arrest happened to your loved one or a close friend, would you know how to perform life-saving CPR, which can double a victim’s chance of survival?  Surprisingly, the vast majority of Americans don't.

Every year, thousands of people suffer from sudden cardiac arrest. About 80% of all ‘out of hospital’ cardiac arrests happen in a residential setting, so being trained in CPR can literally mean the difference between life and death for a loved one. Effective bystander CPR provided immediately after a person suffers cardiac arrest can double their chance of survival since it maintains vital blood flow to the heart and brain. Brain death begins to occur 4-6 minutes after someone experiences cardiac arrest and the flow of oxygen to the brain stops unless CPR and defibrillation occur during that time.

About 95% of sudden cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital. Why? Not enough people are trained in CPR. Death from cardiac arrest is NOT inevitable. Be prepared. Keep a heart beating… Learn CPR.
